Is offering roses and chocolates to women at work on the occasion of Mother's Day, with the intention of bringing them joy, considered haram?

Distributing gifts and roses on innovated (bid'ah) holidays is a manifestation of celebrating them. Therefore, you should ignore this occasion and distance yourself from any act that suggests its perpetuation. Offering gifts and showing respect to elderly women and female colleagues on this day is a manifestation of celebration and blind imitation of those people. Rather, one should fear Allah and be kind to all people at all times, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "He is not from us who does not show mercy to our young ones and does not honor our elders," and "Give gifts to one another, and you will love one another." Accordingly, it is permissible to give gifts and flowers, but it is not permissible for this to be a perpetuation of innovated holidays.
