Should a young man marry a girl he finds to be well-mannered and of good character, but who does not suit him in height and body type, out of fear of wronging her in the future, or should he search for another girl?

The reasons for a person's happiness include choosing a religiously committed wife, while also considering other compatible aspects. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised looking at the prospective fiancée because "it is more likely to create affection between you two." A beautiful woman is chosen because she is more calming to the soul, more apt to lower the gaze, and more conducive to complete affection. If the girl is religious, of good character, and accepted, one should seek guidance from Allah through Istikhara prayer and then proceed with marrying her. If she is not accepted, then one should look for another.
