Is it permissible to abort a deformed fetus—15 weeks old—that has numerous deformities, and doctors have determined that it will die either during pregnancy or shortly after birth?

Aborting a fetus after the soul has been breathed into it is a grave sin, as it is the killing of a soul. It is not permissible unless its continued presence poses a danger to the mother's life. However, if it is malformed, or might die after birth, or if its mother requires a Caesarean section, these do not justify its abortion, and the doctors' testimony in this regard holds no value. The believing woman must be patient and rely on Allah, for every decree for a believer is good for them.
