Who is our master, Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, what is his Mawlawi tariqa, what are his ideas, what is contained in his book the Mathnawi, are there any shirk-related matters in it, and what is the Shar'i ruling on building a mosque over his grave and the existence of a green dome over it?

Jalal al-Din Rumi was one of the imams of Sufism and Sufi poetry in Persian literature in the seventh century AH. He founded the Mawlawi order, which is characterized by the incorporation of dance and rhythms into their dhikr (remembrance) circles. Building shrines and domes over graves is forbidden by Islamic law. The Sunnah is to bury all the dead in cemeteries without elevating the graves, building domes over them, or constructing mosques upon them. Mosques built over graves are to be demolished, for a mosque and a grave do not coexist in Islam. Dancing in dhikr gatherings is a forbidden innovation (bid'ah) that deviates from the demeanor of solemnity and decorum.
