Your sadness and feeling of distress are natural and do not contradict reliance on God (tawakkul) and patience. Accountability falls upon forbidden words or actions. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah does not punish for the tears of the eye or the sadness of the heart, but He punishes for this — and he pointed to his tongue — or He shows mercy." He also said: "Indeed, the eye sheds tears, and the heart grieves, and we do not say except what pleases our Lord. And indeed, we are sorrowful at your departure, O Ibrahim."

The matter of sustenance is predetermined, and every person will receive their full sustenance, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit inspired in my heart that no soul will die until it completes its term and receives its full sustenance."

And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him.
