The answer

None of the Imams of knowledge stated that the repeated repentance of an apostate is not accepted between him and Allah the Almighty concerning the rulings of the hereafter. Rather, the dispute is regarding the acceptance of their repentance in the apparent rulings of this world. There is no disagreement that Allah accepts repentance and forgives whoever repents and abandons the sin outwardly and inwardly, as the verse indicated concerning the repentance of the hypocrites.
