The answer

It is not permissible to use a tree if it is a symbol glorified by disbelievers, in imitation of them. It is permissible to interact with disbelievers with kindness, justice, and to give them gifts, but it is not permissible to congratulate them on their holidays, or to participate in their celebrations, or to sit at their tables during celebrations, because that entails glorifying their corrupt belief. Whoever is compelled to participate in the rituals of disbelievers or to do what contradicts his religion must emigrate.
