What is the religious ruling regarding a man who wronged his wife, did not give her her legitimate rights, slandered her honor, then divorced her without paying her dues, caused her psychological distress, and then married another woman of ill repute while knowing her reputation?

Injustice is forbidden. Spouses must be keen on good companionship and fulfilling rights. The husband should be gentle with his wife, safeguarding her religion and honor. It is not permissible for him to defame her unjustly or take her money without her consent, for her money is her private property. Whatever he takes without her good will, he must return; otherwise, it will be an injustice on the Day of Resurrection. If he divorces her, her rights remain his responsibility. It is advisable to refer to Sharia courts for justice. The wife is advised to be patient and make abundant supplications.
