What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding the marriage of a young man, who is already married, to another woman, when her family, his family, and his wife object, but each of them (the man and the woman he wants to marry) strongly desires the other?

If the suitor is suitable, the guardian does not have the right to prevent the girl from marrying him. If he prevents her, he is considered an adil (one who unjustly withholds marriage). In this case, she is permitted to marry with the guardianship of a more distant guardian, or to refer the matter to the Sharia judge to arrange her marriage or order her guardian to marry her off. Nevertheless, it is advisable to turn away from this man unless there is harm in not marrying him, as the guardian is usually keen on choosing a righteous husband for the benefit of his ward.
