The hadith "The Black Stone is Allah's right hand on Earth" is not authentically transmitted from the Prophet, but rather from Ibn Abbas. His saying, "Allah's right hand on Earth," is qualified, and a qualified expression differs from an absolute one. The Black Stone is not among Allah's attributes, but rather it is like kissing the hand of عظماء (great figures) as a sign of veneration for the one being kissed. There is no issue with the hadith except for those who do not ponder it, for the simile is not the same as the object of the simile. This indicates that the Black Stone is not literally Allah's right hand, but rather a resemblance for one who shakes hands with Allah.
