Is it obligatory to repeat the prayer if the worshiper remembers after finishing it that he did not perform the ritual ablution (ghusl) from prostatic fluid (madhiy) or seminal residue (wadiy), despite knowing that he performed the ablution for the prescribed prayer (wudu’ as-salat), and does the ruling differ if he prayed and then learned of the emission of semen (maniy)?

Wadi necessitates cleansing the impurity only, whereas madhy necessitates cleansing the impurity and washing the male organ. Both nullify ablution. If a person performs ablution after washing the male organ due to madhy and then prays, their prayer is valid. Whoever prays while having wadi or madhy without performing ablution must repeat the prayer after purification and ablution. Similarly, whoever prays while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) must repeat the prayer after performing ghusl. We also caution that inducing semen without lawful marital intercourse is Islamically prohibited.
