Is traveling abroad for study, with the intention of preserving the hijab and avoiding mixed-gender work environments, considered an Islamic transgression, especially if it will lead to losing one’s mahram after the completion of studies, and is remaining in a non-Muslim country for work under conditions that observe Islamic guidelines better, or is moving to a Muslim country later on?

Parents must help their daughter adhere to her religion, and she should not obey them if they order her to remove her hijab, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator.

Traveling abroad without a mahram is forbidden. Whoever cannot preserve their religion in their country must migrate to a country where they can adhere to obedience to Allah, and they should first search for a Muslim country.

If a Muslim country is not available, residing in a non-Muslim country that allows one to preserve their religion is better than residing in a country that prevents religious commitment.

It is advised to make abundant supplication, and to search for a Muslim country, or to remain in the current country of residence if it is better for preserving one's religion, and to seek a righteous husband who will help in obeying Allah.
