Is it permissible to prevent my brother from going to the mosque and praying at home, knowing that his mental development is slow, and he is twenty years old but acts like a six-year-old, yet he understands things, performs the five daily prayers, but he laughs loudly and plays in the mosque, which disturbs the worshippers despite our guidance to him?

A weak Hadith (definition), deemed so by scholars, is used to infer the protection of the mosque from children's play, the mischief of the insane, and raised voices. The Prophet forbade inquiring about lost items, buying, and selling in the mosque, and entering it after eating garlic or onions. If a person harms the worshippers, they should be prevented from entering the mosque and ordered to pray at home.
