The answer

The exegetes differed regarding the meaning of the name of Allah, "Al-Mu'min" (The Granter of Security, The Affirming). Ibn Abbas was of the opinion that He secures His creation from injustice. Qatadah believed that He affirmed with His statement that He is the Truth. Zayd held that He affirmed His believing servants in their faith in Him. As for Al-Qurtubi, he stated that He is the One who affirms His messengers by manifesting miracles, and who affirms the believers with what He has promised them of reward, and the disbelievers with what He has threatened them of punishment. It was also said that He is the One who secures His allies from His punishment and His servants from His injustice. Mujahid said: He is the One who unified Himself by His statement: "Allah bears witness that there is no god but He."
