What is the ruling on interlacing the fingers when washing the hands in wudu? Is it permissible to wash limbs immediately after wudu without the intention of adding them to wudu? And how should the head be washed in wudu, and is it permissible to start from the front of the head and return in the same manner?

The question includes three points:

1. Interlacing fingers and toes: This is a Sunnah according to the majority of scholars, and obligatory for the hands according to the Malikis. It is more emphasized for the feet if water does not reach all parts without interlacing. 2. Washing the head after ablution: This is permissible if done for a lawful purpose such as cleaning or cooling, and not with the intention of adding to the ablution. 3. Wiping the head during ablution: What is prescribed is wiping, not washing, as stated in the verse: "And wipe over your heads." The recommended method is to move the hands forward and backward over the head, from the front to the nape of the neck, and then return them. If the head is washed instead of wiped, it is still sufficient, and the ablution is valid if the entire head is covered by wiping.
