Does raising a dog on the roof with the intention of getting used to it to overcome fear prevent angels from entering the entire house, or just the room, or the floor it is on, especially since the hadiths indicate that dogs are for guarding only?

We ask Allah to grant the questioner strength of heart and to keep us safe from what we fear. The described condition is unusual and warrants consulting with psychiatrists. It is not permissible to acquire dogs to strengthen one's heart, to bear seeing them, and to overcome fear of them. The fundamental principle is the prohibition of owning dogs, except in cases explicitly exempted by Sharia (definition).
