How can one who seeks guidance (al-Mustakhir) know the effect of the Istikhara prayer if they pray and do not feel a particular inclination, yet desire both options?

Our advice is that you consult experts and those of sound judgment among your family and those who advise you well, for he who seeks guidance from the Creator and consults the creation will not be disappointed. Then, seek guidance from your Lord. Whatever your soul is at peace with and your heart is open to, that is the good, Allah willing. And if your heart is not open to it, then proceed with what you predominantly believe to be in your best interest after seeking guidance and consultation, and be content with whatever Allah decrees, for it is good and beneficial for you.
