Who incurs God's greater wrath (a drinker of alcohol or a drug addict)?

Khamr (definition) (intoxicant) is anything that covers the intellect, and everything that numbs the body is forbidden (haram (definition)). Consuming intoxicants or using drugs is a major sin and an transgression against the boundaries set by Allah. Underestimating sins leads to perdition. Allah has forbidden intoxicants, gambling, idolatrous altars, and divining arrows. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every intoxicant is forbidden. Indeed, Allah has promised that whoever drinks intoxicants, He will make him drink from thearat-ul-khabal," which is the sweat or discharge of the people of Hellfire.
