Is the divorce that occurred via Facebook, when the husband said: "I swore an oath of divorce that if she returns to my house," with the family considering the text to include an accomplished divorce and another conditional upon return, legally valid? Is it permissible to return to the marital home? If she does return, will it count as one divorce or two?

It appears that the husband's statement is considered an immediate divorce (talaq (definition) munajjaz), and what the wife's father understood, we do not consider to be correct. Therefore, there is no divorce conditioned upon entering the marital home, and no divorce results from returning to it. Rather, what occurred is a single divorce. The husband may take back his wife before the completion of her iddah (definition), provided that this divorce does not complete the three divorces.
