The answer

If a person repents with sincere repentance, feeling remorse, abandoning the sin, and resolving not to return to it, then Allah accepts his repentance and forgives his sin; for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." He should also increase in good deeds that expiate sins, accompany righteous people, and persistently supplicate for steadfastness upon guidance.
