What is the ruling on a daughter's disobedience to her father if she attends Islamic youth forums and prefers her maternal uncles over him?

The right of parents is great, and neglecting it is one of the gravest sins. It is obligatory upon the child to obey them, treat them kindly, and do good to them. Allah Almighty has linked their right with His own right in the Quran. Allah Almighty says: "And worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, and to parents, do good." And His saying: "And your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship except Him, and to parents, do good. If one of them or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them [even] 'uff,' and do not repel them, but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.'" Therefore, the daughter must fear Allah concerning her father and obey him in everything that is not disobedience [to Allah]. It is not permissible for her to hurt his feelings, and his right takes precedence over every other right. Her commitment to her religion cannot be complete except by obeying her father, especially concerning going out and visiting others. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parents, and the displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the parents." So, she must satisfy her father to attain the pleasure of Allah.
