What is the righteousness that prolongs life, and does it include all people or only one's parents?

Righteousness and benevolence include honoring one's parents and obeying them, and maintaining kinship ties. It is one of the causes of a long life. In the Hadith: "Whoever is pleased that his provision be expanded for him and his lifespan be extended, let him maintain ties of kinship," and "Maintaining kinship ties and good neighborliness make homes prosperous and increase lifespans."
