What are God's blessings upon us, and what is the virtue of returning to Him in prosperity and adversity?

Indeed, the blessings of Allah are abundant and innumerable. Among the ways of showing gratitude for these blessings is for the servant to know their Lord in times of both hardship and ease, to praise Him in all circumstances, and to remain steadfast in obedience to Him. Therefore, whoever only recognizes their Lord in times of hardship and fails to fulfill their duties is in grave danger and possesses a characteristic of the disbelievers. As for those who recognize Allah in times of both prosperity and adversity, they are among the people of virtue.
