With which of the two countries should a Muslim break his fast if he travels in Ramadan to a country that differs from his home country in the beginning of the month, and he stays there until Eid?

If a man travels and moves from one country to another, and the moon sighting differs between them, the basic rule is that his fasting and breaking of the fast should follow the country where the month has been established.

Decrease in fasting days: If he moves from a country whose people fasted on Sunday to a country whose people fasted on Saturday and broke their fast on Sunday (29 days), he should break his fast with them and is obligated to make up one day because the month is not less than 29 days. 2. Increase in fasting days: If he moves from a country whose people fasted on Sunday to a country whose people fasted on Monday and broke their fast on Wednesday (30 days), he should remain fasting with them even if it exceeds 30 days, because he is in a place where the moon was not sighted, so it is not permissible for him to break the fast, in accordance with the verse: ﴿Then complete the fast till the night.﴾ 3. If he moves from a country whose people fasted on Sunday to a country whose people fasted on Monday and broke their fast on Tuesday (29 days), he should break his fast with them, and his fast will be 30 days. 4. If he moves from a country whose people fasted on Sunday and broke their fast on Tuesday (30 days) to a country whose people fasted on Sunday and broke their fast on Monday (29 days), he should break his fast with them and is not obligated to make up a day because he completed 29 days.

These rulings are based on the preponderant opinion that the ruling differs with the differing moon sightings. If the ruling does not differ, but the sighting is established in one place, then all Muslims are obligated to fast or break their fast. However, the traveler should fast or break his fast secretly to avoid contradicting the community.
