The marital rights that a husband has not fulfilled for his wife remain a debt upon him. The wife has the right to demand them and to take the matter to court to compel him to fulfill them. As for the furniture and contents of the home, each spouse owns what belongs to them. The wife has the right to reclaim what belongs to her and to dispute with her husband regarding it. Whoever helps the husband oppress his wife and deprive her of her rights is a partner in sin, as Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
