Is it forbidden for a young man to help a girl he met with the intention of marrying her, while his family rejects this association due to her social status?
A man's love for a woman who is a stranger to him is forbidden if he continues the relationship with her through greetings, conversations, and meetings, because that is a means to evil. Scholars have stipulated the prohibition of even less than that, such as greeting a young woman or offering condolences. Therefore, it is obligatory to cease this relationship. As for marrying her, there is no harm in it if she is of good character and religious, and if the mother does not prevent her son from marrying her due to her poverty. If one's soul is attached to her and leaving her would cause harm, then one must try to convince the mother to agree to the marriage. Otherwise, it is permissible to marry her without her consent while striving to please her and show her dutifulness after the marriage.
