Does a young man become responsible for his fiancée and her actions after the marriage contract is concluded? Is she obliged to seek his permission to leave her parents' home? Is he obliged to spend on her? Is it permissible for him to ask her guardian to prevent a foreign man from entering her parents' home on the pretext that his wife is there?

If a man contracts a valid marriage with a woman according to Islamic law, she becomes his wife. However, before consummation, she remains under the care of her father, and she must seek her father's permission to go out. The husband is not obligated to spend on her until she enables him to consummate the marriage with her. Similarly, she is not obligated to surrender herself to him until she receives the prompt portion of her dowry, with the exception of the period during which she prepares herself. If the husband enters the house in an unlawful manner, the wife's father should be advised to prevent him. It is better to initiate marriage and expedite it.
