The answer

It is desirable for whoever Allah has blessed with a favor to say, "Maa shaa Allahu la quwwata illa billah" (What Allah wills [has come to pass]; there is no power except with Allah), so that the blessing may remain and afflictions be repelled from it, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the righteous predecessors, and reflecting on His Almighty saying: "And why did you not, when you entered your garden, say, 'What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah'?"
