The answer

The door of repentance is open, and Allah accepts the repentance of those who repent as long as the servant has not rattled in his throat (i.e., is not on his deathbed) or the sun has not risen from the west, as Allah Almighty says: "And indeed, I am Forgiving to whoever repents, believes, and does righteousness, and then is guided." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah extends His hand at night to accept the repentance of the transgressor of the day, and He extends His hand by day to accept the repentance of the transgressor of the night, until the sun rises from its west." The greatest sins are disbelief and polytheism, but Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents from them and forgives him.
