Is it permissible to connect pre-Islamic (Jahili) tribes with genetic lineages, and does a genetic lineage lead to negating an established lineage or proving an unknown pre-Islamic lineage?

It is not permissible to rely on DNA fingerprinting to disown lineage, and the Sharia (definition) texts must take precedence over it. It is not permissible to use it to confirm the authenticity of lineages that are already established by Sharia. The state must prevent the private sector from conducting this test except upon a judicial request and in the laboratories of the competent authorities. Challenging established lineages using DNA fingerprinting necessitates a deterrent punishment.
