How can the Noble Qur’an be memorized for children aged four and a half?

Teaching the Quran to children is one of the noblest professions. It should be accompanied by seeking reward from Allah, sincerity, and seeking Allah's help. Among the principles for teaching them are: gentleness, establishing a bridge of communication with them through encouragement and forgiveness, starting with the shorter surahs, frequent repetition, organizing competitions and awarding prizes to outstanding students, and not boring them but rather giving them space to play. The foundation of all this is seeking Allah's help, relying on Him, and being sincere to Him.
