Is the Prophet Muhammad, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, alive or dead, given that the prophets are alive, as mentioned in the incident of Al-Isra' and Al-Mi'raj?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and all the prophets have died, except for Jesus (peace be upon him), whom Allah raised alive and who will die later. Some people's inference from the story of the Isra and Mi'raj that the prophets are alive is incorrect, because the Prophet's meeting with them was in the barzakh (definition) (interim) world of spirits, not in this earthly life, for each life has its own laws. The dead cannot benefit the living except by what they did in their lifetime, while the living can benefit the dead through supplication, seeking forgiveness, giving charity, and dedicating the reward of good deeds.
