What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a wife's refusal to be intimate with her husband who married another woman, especially since the wife refused to divorce the second wife and he has a child with her?

The Sharia has permitted a Muslim man to marry more than one wife, up to four, provided he is able to be just in spending and in allocation of time. It is not obligatory for the husband to inform his wife when he intends to marry another, but it is commendable. Jealousy is natural for women, and the husband should deal wisely with his wife's jealousy. The husband must appease his wife and her family and convince them of the legitimacy of polygyny. For a wife to demand the divorce of her co-wife is an act of disobedience, and it is not permissible for her to refuse intimacy with her husband for this reason. If she insists, she is considered rebellious (nashiz).
