So, whoever picks it up intending to own it without publicizing it has committed something forbidden, and it is not lawful for him to take it with this intention. He is obligated to guarantee it, whether it perishes due to negligence or otherwise, and he does not own it even if he publicizes it; because he took someone else's property in a manner that was not permissible for him to take it, thus resembling a usurper.
