Does Allah Almighty care about the success of disbelievers in their lives, their earning of money, and their attainment of scientific positions, even though they do not worship Him nor acknowledge His due right? And does Allah care about their reactions in times of ease and hardship?
Allah is Self-Sufficient, needing nothing from the worlds. He does not benefit from the gratitude of the thankful, nor is He harmed by the disbelief of the disbelievers. He created creation for His worship, and He has no need of them if they do not believe. All the deeds of His servants are recorded. The good deeds of the believers are accepted, while the deeds of the disbelievers are rendered void, and nothing will be accepted from them in the Hereafter, though they may be rewarded for their good deeds in this world. As for disbelievers who commit evil deeds, their sin and torment will be increased. Allah observes the deeds of both believers and disbelievers and tests them with ease and hardship. The believer gives thanks and perseveres, and thus it is good for him, whereas the disbeliever neither gives thanks nor perseveres.
