Is a husband obliged to divorce his wife if she insists on removing her hijab, knowing that she is a foreign woman who embraced Islam and wore the hijab, then abandoned it due to problems she faced and the misconduct of some Muslims?

The hijab (definition) is obligatory for a Muslim woman. A wife who does not wear the hijab should be advised and reminded of its proofs in a gentle manner, clarifying that obedience to Allah is not to be abandoned because of the erroneous actions of some Muslims. If she insists on not adhering to it, then divorcing a woman who neglects one of Allah’s rights is recommended, or one can be patient with her and continue to advise her while making supplications for her.
