What is the meaning of "At-Taghannī bi al-Qur'ān" (chanting/beautifying one's voice with the Qur'an), and what is obligatory to do upon hearing the interpretation of a noble Prophetic Hadith that is not in accordance with its correct meaning?

The more preponderant meaning of al-taghannī bi al-Qur’ān (chanting the Qur'an) is to beautify one's voice during recitation without exceeding the limits of tartīl (measured recitation) and takhashshuʿ (humility), and without introducing musical melodies. This is supported by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Adorn the Qur'an with your voices." However, there is another interpretation, which is to be content with the Qur'an instead of anything else, and this has been favored by some scholars. The point is that both interpretations are valid understandings of the Hadith (definition). The conversation between the father and his son should be based on politeness and respect.
