Is there a Hadith commanding to pray on the night of the middle of Sha'ban and to fast on its day, and do the leaves of those whose appointed times have ended fall therein, and are the scrolls (of deeds) rolled up and new ones opened therein?

The Hadith: "When the middle of Sha'ban night comes, stand in prayer during its night and fast during its day..." is fabricated (mawdu'). Its chain of narration includes Ibn Abi Sabrah, who is known for fabricating Hadith. It was also deemed weak by Al-Busiri, Ibn Rajab, Al-Mundhiri, and Al-Albani.

No reliable Hadith has been authentically established regarding the virtue of the middle of Sha'ban night or the decreeing of lifespans within it. The Hadiths that speak of the decreeing of lifespans in it are Mursal (missing the companion in the chain) or Maqtu' (disconnected). The statements of some of the predecessors who interpreted the verse: "In it every wise affair is made distinct" (Quran 44:4) as referring to the middle of Sha'ban night are rejected by the majority of exegetes, who believe it refers to Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree).
