Is it permissible for a woman who wears hijab to uncover her neck or part of it, or to suffice with wearing a hat that covers the hair but not the neck, with the aim of alleviating her feelings of being singled out and depressed, even though she is aware of the possibility of committing a sin by doing so?

The Muslim woman's hijab must cover the entire body, including the neck. It is not permissible to show anything from the body other than the face and hands. Feminine feelings, psychological comfort, or social integration should not lead a woman to disobey Allah's command. Rather, Allah's command must be prioritized over personal desires, seeking His pleasure and reward. If she does so and perseveres, she will attain good in this world and the Hereafter. Furthermore, Allah rewards the patient, the pious, and the good-doers. And whoever abandons something out of fear of Allah, Allah will give him something better in return. It is advised to be patient in obeying Allah, to frequently remember Him, to read the Quran, to observe obligatory and supererogatory prayers, and to read books on spiritual refinement and biographies.
