Who is the Messiah (the awaited deliverer) of Islam?

Muslims do not pin their hopes on a savior, for the matter of Islam is complete. The Mahdi is a man from among the reformers who will fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with injustice. Sheikh Ibn Baz affirmed that the hadiths about the Mahdi are mutawatir (concurrently transmitted) in meaning, which indicates the certainty of his matter. The Mahdi is Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Alawi al-Hasani, who will emerge at the end of time to establish justice. His name is Muhammad ibn Abdullah, and his description is: broad-foreheaded, with a prominent nose, and he will appear before the descent of Jesus (peace be upon him). Despite the certainty of the Mahdi, Muslims must strive to exalt the word of Allah and spread His religion, and not abandon good deeds while awaiting his appearance.
