The answer

The predominant opinion is that the suckling which prohibits marriage is five or more distinct sucklings, based on the hadith of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that "Ten distinct sucklings would prohibit [marriage], then they were abrogated by five distinct [sucklings]." Accordingly, three sucklings do not prohibit marriage, and the child does not become a son through suckling. The husband's consent or lack thereof has no effect on the suckling [itself], but it is preferable not to breastfeed anyone except with his permission, as Sheikh Ibn Baz indicated.
