Is it permissible for a man to annul the marriage if he discovers after six months that his wife is ill and did not inform him of that before the marriage?

The majority of scholars hold that the defects necessitating disclosure before marriage, and establishing the right to annulment thereafter, are those that prevent sexual intercourse or are repulsive or contagious diseases. If the woman's illness is of this nature, the husband must be informed of it before the marriage contract. If he only learns of it after the contract and does not consent to it, he has the right to annul the marriage. However, if the illness does not fall under these categories of defects, the husband does not have to be informed of it. The husband is advised, if his wife is righteous, to be patient with her and strive to treat her illness, remembering the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Seek treatment, for Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has not created a disease without creating a cure for it, except for one disease: old age."
