The answer

A نقل (narration) from Fath al-Bari by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, in his commentary on the hadith: "If you have no shame, then do as you please." His saying: "from the words of prophethood" means that it is among the sayings upon which all prophets agreed and which were not abrogated. Abu Dawud and Ahmad added: "the first prophethood," meaning that which preceded our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. His saying: "then do as you please" is a command with the meaning of a statement, or it is a threat, meaning: Allah will recompense you. Or its meaning is: look at what you intend to do; if it is something of which one should not be ashamed, then do it, otherwise abandon it. Or it means that if you are not ashamed before Allah of something from which you should not be ashamed in matters of religion, then do it and do not care about people. Or what is intended is an encouragement to modesty (haya') and an emphasis on its virtue.
