What is the ruling on reciting Surat Al-Baqarah and seeking forgiveness with the intention of marriage, and is this considered an innovation (bidʻah)?

Marriage is predestined for a person, just like their sustenance, and there is no need to worry if it is delayed. It is prescribed for young men and women to take the means to achieve it, such as supplication (du'a), for it is a mighty weapon when used properly, coupled with certainty of its acceptance and seeking the means of approval. Seeking forgiveness (istighfar) is a cause for abundant sustenance and marriage, as Allah Almighty mentioned concerning Noah (peace be upon him). Supplication is stored for the servant, beneficial to them in all circumstances, and is answered as long as the supplicant does not become impatient. Its virtue is not limited to facilitating marriage. Reading the Quran and increasing in acts of obedience in general, such as prayer, remembrance (dhikr), and seeking forgiveness, are causes for bringing happiness, tranquility, and achieving one's desires. However, it is not prescribed to worship by specifying a certain number or a certain time that has not been mentioned in the Sharia (definition). Therefore, reading Surat Al-Baqarah or seeking forgiveness a specific number of times have not been mentioned as specific causes for marriage.
