Was a verse deleted from the Holy Qur’an after Gabriel and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, reviewed it, and what is that verse?

Allah guaranteed the preservation of His Book, the Holy Qur’an, unlike the previous scriptures, whose preservation He entrusted to rabbis and monks, who then corrupted them. The Qur’an found between the covers of the Mus'haf is what Allah has commanded us to recite and preserve. The Companions compiled it completely, then it was rewritten and distributed during the era of Uthman.

Copies of some Qur’anic verses were made during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in three categories: 1. That whose ruling was abrogated but its recitation remained: Like the verse, "If there are twenty of you patient, they will overcome two hundred," which was abrogated by the verse that followed it. 2. That whose ruling and recitation were abrogated: Like the verse, "ten known sucklings make marriage unlawful," which was then abrogated by five sucklings. 3. That whose recitation was abrogated but its ruling remained: Such as the prohibition by five sucklings, and the verse of stoning, whose wording is: "The old man and the old woman, if they commit adultery, stone them both as a punishment from Allah, and Allah is Almighty, Wise." The wisdom behind abrogating the recitation of the verse of stoning might be to demonstrate the superiority of Muslims over other nations.

The verses that were removed are those whose recitation and ruling, or only recitation, were abrogated, and they are not part of the Qur’an whose recitation Allah has commanded us.
