The answer

should not be given to disbelievers (kafir) or innovators (mubtadi'). The Rafidah (a derogatory term for some Shi'a groups) are disbelievers for several reasons, including: their slandering of the Quran and , their declaring of Ahl al-Sunnah (Sunnis) as disbelievers, and their explicit polytheism through exaggerated veneration of imams and calling upon others besides Allah. Whoever has given zakat to them must pay its equivalent again. And whoever has been entrusted with distributing it is forbidden from giving it to them.
