What is the story of the Prophet's marriage to Juwayriyah bint al-Harith, and how can we refute the misconception that he married her out of lust or in exchange for her freedom? Is it true that her father came to ransom her, but she chose the Prophet?

It is not a condition of prophethood for a prophet to be free from permissible human desires, such as marriage. The marriage of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to Juwayriyah, may Allah be pleased with her, does not contradict his prophethood. Juwayriyah, may Allah be pleased with her, was a beautiful woman, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was impressed by her. He proposed marriage to her after she sought his help in her manumission contract. Juwayriyah agreed to the marriage, and this was good for her and her people, as a hundred households from Banu Al-Mustaliq were freed because of it. Juwayriyah, may Allah be pleased with her, was a Muslim when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married her, and it is reported that she chose the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as her husband after her father gave her a choice.
