The answer

Human hair is of three types:

1. What the Lawgiver has explicitly forbidden to remove: It is not permissible to cut or remove anything from it, such as a man's beard and the plucking of eyebrows for both women and men.

2. What the Lawgiver has explicitly commanded to remove: It is to be removed or taken from to the extent that the Sharīʿah has specified, such as armpit hair, pubic hair, and a man's mustache.

3. What the Lawgiver has remained silent about: This is permissible, and it is left to the individual's choice, such as hair that grows on the nose or forehead; one may remove it if they wish, or leave it if they wish.
