The answer

If someone says to you, "I love you for the sake of Allah," the is to respond, "May the One for whose sake you loved me, love you." Indeed, Abu Dawud narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded a man to inform his brother that he loved him for the sake of Allah. When he informed him, the other replied, "May the One for whose sake you loved me, love you." It is important to choose companions from among the people of the Sunnah who venerate it and distance themselves from innovations and deviations.
