Does the divorce of a person suffering from obsessive thoughts and compulsive urges that he does not intend count, especially if he experiences doubts about the intention of divorce during his normal conversations with his wife, and does the hadith "No divorce in coercion/compulsion" apply to him?

Divorce occurs through an explicit utterance or an implicit one accompanied by the intention to effect it. As for an implicit utterance without intention, divorce does not occur. Divorce that occurs due to obsessive thoughts (waswasah) is not valid. If one does not know whether he has divorced or not, the certainty of marriage is not removed by the doubt of divorce. We advise you to disregard obsessive thoughts, be wary of giving in to them, seek Allah's help, and supplicate frequently.
